Hello! I'm Charisa.

I came to the Pacific Northwest from Texas nearly 50 years ago, and it has long felt like home. After a career in the software industry, I’ve returned to what gives me the most joy—being with people and getting to know their stories.

The people I photograph amaze me. Again and again, I see the resilience of the human heart, the gratitude that comes with a life well-lived, and the forgiveness people are capable of offering. Listening to their stories is a gift, and my hope is that the portraits I make reflect some of their resilience, gratitude and forgiveness.
